The bride wore white. Also, the bridesmaids. And...the flower girls too! Most couples want their wedding to be a mix: a hint of the traditional, a reflection of their combined personality, and a touch of uniqueness that sets their wedding apart. For this rainy, rustic farm wedding, Peri & Nathan nailed it.

A Hint of Rustic Traditional

Between 12 bridesmaids, 12 groomsman, 4 flower girls, and 3 ring bearers, the bridal party had this couple surrounded. The bride and groom were fully encircled with love, beauty, and a value for friendship that the couple clearly possessed.

A Couple’s Combined Personality

Right before the ceremony began, it started to sprinkle. Once Peri started on her path to the altar–which was no short distance–it was POURING down rain. But thanks to the amazing provision of clear umbrellas by the venue, Otter Creek Farm, every single guest stayed dry!

The umbrellas alone weren't what kept them though. If the measure of a person can be counted by who they surround themselves with, then Peri and Nathan are two AMAZING people. There was not a single dry cheek in the crowd as we watched these two become one, my eyes included...and it wasn't because of the rain!

A Touch of Uniqueness

Surrounded by so much camaraderie, this couple's rainy farm wedding didn’t need the rustic venue, the meal, or any guests to steal the show. All the more, one feature that did stand out amidst the backdrop of white silk and glistening sprinkle was Peri’s bouquet.

The flowers both she and her ladies carried were a blend of hand-picked, delicate wildflowers with pops of fall colors masterfully crafted by Haley Scott Floral Design. Highlighting the green, rustic, farm wedding surroundings and matching the white of the bride’s dress, these florals only emphasized the elegant beauty of the day.

Yet, once Peri made it to the altar and into Nathan’s arms, the rain stopped, the heavens opened up as they recited their vows, and they took communion. A cloudy sky had turned into a glorious sunset with hues of blue peeking out over the newlyweds.

Ultimately, the spectacular rainbows that closed Peri & Nathan’s day was a testament to their love for one another, for their community, and to a wedding day that was wholly and uniquely their own.
