Snowy Lake Louise Elopement, Banff Canada | Rachel + Taylor

October 18, 2019

One of my dream locations for any shoot, engagement, elopement, wedding… you call it! Banff, Canada has been in my bucket list FOR A LONG time and I am so happy I finally got to visit with my husband, sister and brother in law this past October. If you haven’t been to Banff yet, go ahead and add it to your list right now! This place is absolutely magical at any time of the day, with or without snow. Banff is one of the most charming little towns I have ever been to and I absolutely loved every little corner. The people are so nice, the food is amazing, and every inch of that town is BEAUTIFUL. Every turn you make you can see the beautiful mountains, and I couldn’t get enough of it!

Now what we didn’t expect in October was the blizzard we got the morning of this shoot… so keep scrolling to see how hard the snow started to hit us! haha needless to say it got super cold super fast! We got there early, but not super early because sunrise is not until almost 8am during that time of the year. Which I thought was crazy!! But also really great because I got to sleep in just a little! The best part of this AMAZING view that everybody travels to Lake Louise to see is that it does NOT take a hike to get there!

So if you are looking to visit Lake Louise to see this beautiful VIEW no worries, all you have to do is park and walk just a couple of yards to get to this breathtaking scenery! Now of course there are plenty of trails around it, that I HIGHLY recommend doing it but for the main lake you are good to go with a couple of steps!
