Is there any town more charming than Charleston?? Kass and Patrik’s sunrise engagement session in Charleston was the perfect way to explore the city and capture all of its charm and beauty. Doing this shoot in the morning made for the perfect lighting. It gave us a chance to walk the cobblestone streets before they were crowded with tourists.
Kass and Patrik’s engagement session was extra special for me because Kass is my best friend’s younger sister. My best friend and I got to roadtrip to Charleston together to take these pictures. The three of us spent a fun girls weekend together exploring all Charleston has to offer. What I love most about Charleston is the beautiful and historic architecture that is all throughout the downtown area. The photos I captured of these two in front of the most charming pastel house are some of my absolute favorites. I loved the way Kass’s amazing style with her hat complemented the scenery perfectly!
A sunrise engagement session was perfect for them because of the location they chose. It is very important for us photographers to know where sunrise and sunset will be in the location of the shoot. And for this spot, the morning was perfect because the sun was right behind them. Plus, like I mentioned before, there were less tourists around the cobblestone streets!
Also, I can’t forget to mention their super fluffy pup that made an honorary appearance at the very end! We finished their session at their charming apartment in Charleston. That way, Bear (the huge fluff ball) could be a part of it. Just keep on scrolling to see the cuteness!
Needless to say, Charleston is easily one of the most picturesque towns I have ever been to! Thinking about doing your engagement session there? Or even your wedding?? Hit me up and let’s talk more because I am dying to go back and would love to capture your love story in Charleston!
And if you are feeling all the beach vibes with this session, here is a SUPER FUN summer beach session in 30A, Florida with Rachel and Taylor!
