Chris and Sarah’s adventurous elopement in Punta Cana was one I will remember for the rest of my life. This was my very first elopement to shoot out of the country AND it was during my own honeymoon. Crazy, right?! Who would want to work during their own honeymoon?!

The story of how we got here is pretty neat. When Sarah first asked me to do their photos she was planning on getting married the day after me, so I was unfortunately not able to shoot their wedding. BUT, she later told me that they had decided to do an adventurous elopement in Punta Cana instead. AND it just happened to be at the same resort where Ryan and I were going for our honeymoon. So, when I asked my soon to be husband if it would be okay for me to shoot it he said, “I will have a drink in one hand, your bag in the other, and watch my WIFE do what she loves!”. I may have cried a little because he is the best, and that is exactly what we did!!!

I am still in awe of the details of this beautiful beach elopement. Sarah’s dress could not have been more perfect, and can we talk about her hair?! I mean, so gorgeous!! The ceremony at this adventurous elopement in Punta Cana was so intimate and special. Watching Chris and Sarah exchange their vows with the beautiful ocean behind them could not have been more breath-taking. After the intimate beach elopement ceremony, we popped champagne and even got some photos in the water! I could not have asked for more from this beach elopement!

Another wonderful thing that came out of this adventurous elopement in Punta Cana is that we got to hang with these sweet friends the rest of the week at the resort! There is truly nothing better than when clients turn into life-long friends. Long story short, TOTALLY worth shooting an elopement during my honeymoon!
